Today we had a garage sale. I feel like that's a solid way to start this post. Everyone wants to read about a garage sale, so read on, or, check out the video below if you'd prefer to watch instead of read. For you readers, back to the words. We piled up on tables, threw into boxes, and scattered all over our driveway everything from a single white plate, to large furniture. We thought it would take us weeks to get rid of just half the huge amount of stuff we had for sale. We planned on many dump hauls and good will runs to rid ourselves of all the rest. After the garage sale however my wife said to me "we just sold in 45 minutes what took us 12 years to acquire". It was insane. I had advertised the start of the sale at 8:30am, but by 7:13am, it was over.
I may in the future do a post on how to have the worlds greatest garage sale, because obviously I am now an authority on them, but I would have to charge you mass amounts of money for this, and so this post instead will focus more on how we felt letting 12 years of accumulation be swept away in under an hour, and I'll do it for free. Watch the video below I shot on my iPhone before, and after the chaos. I meant to shoot footage during the actual garage sale, but we literally had masses of people everywhere, it was utter chaos, and it was terrifying.
